DAY 2
MADRID – TOLEDO – MADRID [1HR 30 MIN](B/--/D)
Have your buet breakfast inside the hotel, and then see the highlights of the city. Visit the Royal Palace, official residence of King Carlos and his family, see Plaza Mayor, the main square, the Cibeles Fountain, the luxury boulevard Gran Via and Puerta del Sol Square, which is oficially the exact center of the country, and Plaza Espaňa with the famous monument to Cervantes. In the afternoon, transfer to Toledo and experience Toledo’s past on a guided walk along cobblestone alleyways, and explore this WorldHeritage-listed city’s medieval architecture and fortified city walls. Your guided city tour takes you along the labyrinth of laneways winding through the medieval walled town. Enjoy a guided visit of the Alhambra Palace and Generalife Gardens, a summer complex built by the Moorish Kings and today’s highlight of Granada. Have your buffet breakfast inside the hotel. After a long drive going to Tarifa, you will ride a ferry going to Tangier. Start your Moroccan adventure with a sightseeing coach tour through the modern part of Tangier, and continue on foot to the historical center to visit the Kasbah and Souk. Continue to a Traditional Bazaar where Moroccan carpets, traditional slippers, leather objects, and other traditional Moroccan handicrafts are displayed. CASABLANCA – TANGIER [5 HRS](B/--/D)
After your buffet breakfast inside the hotel, enjoy a half day city tour of Casablanca in the morning. During your 3-hour tour, you will discover the vast size of Casablanca, which is the largest city in Morocco, and the country’s major economic, industrial, and cultural center. Start with a visit to the United Nations Place, followed by Mohammed V Square and the Cental Market before continuing to the Habbousquarter to admire the Royal Palace from the outside. Afterwards, visit the Mehkamaand the Cathedral Norte Dame de Lourdes. See the famous Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in Morocco and the seventh-largest in the world. Admire the exterior of this beautiful structure overlooking the ocean. Your last stop is the Ain DiabCorniche, where you will have free time to walk down the promenade lined with restaurants and swimming pools before hopping back in your vehicle to end the tour. After your buffet breakfast inside the hotel, start with the historic quarter and Torre de Belem, the symbol of the capital, dedicated to the rich age of the great maritime discoveries. See the famous Jeronimos Monastery, a World Heritage Site that shows the best example of Portuguese Manueline Style and Vasco da Gama’s resting place. Afterwards, proceed to the Avenue of Liberdade and continue to reach the Baixa District to admire the Se Cathedral, Rossio Square, and the monumental Comercio Square. Proceed to Fatima and discover the most important pilgrimage center in Europe after Rome, where it is believed that three shepherd children had various sightings of the Virgin in 1917. Visit the spectacular Sanctuary of Fatima, which contains the tombs of the three children, and admire the huge square in front of the basilica, that is twice the size of St. Peter’s Square in Rome.
